Hiya! Glenn here with a couple very important affiliate links that I have found to be life saving while being the songwriting vagabond. For the year of 2012, I traveled the US in a 1978 Golden Nugget camper. Most of which was actually in Nashville, Tennessee. The thing had all kinds of issues. Mostly heating and air. But also mechanical. I couldn’t get parts from just anywhere either. But I was conveniently located in Music Valley close to the Opryland Hotel. On that strip there were 3 RV campsites available and the beloved Camping World. I could’ve redone all of my camper’s functionalities if I just had a little more cash flow. However, I was able to maintain quite a lot in that timeframe. But being an older vehicle, unable to put in a regular mechanics shop, it was a lot more expensive to diagnose, let alone maintain. And as old as it was, a lot of places wouldn’t even touch it mechanically. But when something important was necessary and Camping World was right there, I was able to tackle to work on the potable water line, fix the shower and commode and the waste lines going out. It sounds gross, and it was, but I was very thankful that Camping World had those replacement parts.
So if you’re in an RV and ever needing services, Camping World is a great resource.
Good Sam Roadside Assistance
Camping World wouldn’t be complete without a Good Sam plan. Not only is Good Sam awesome for emergency roadside service, but they often have a ton of discounts at campsites everywhere. I remember a 25% discount on weeklong stays at the Jellystone RV park. Depending on the time of year, that can be huge savings. Some times during the year it can cost up to $75 a night to stay on a campsite. While other times can be as low as $15 a night. Of course there is water, power, sewer and cable costs and sometimes options to utilize or not. But at any rate, a Good Sam card can offer a ton of savings. Especially if you get the book with all the information about it. Good Sam made RV camping a geocaching dream.
